Reared writing notes of thanks, establishing junkin & hudnall in 2017 was a natural step for Mississippi artist Jamey Hudnall. His mama always made certain her boys sent their appreciations, congrats, and condolences when needed, a habit that really stuck with her youngest.
Hudnall pairs his paintings of Deep South local color, flora, and fare via stationery to honor his mother’s example, the woman who taught him that saying “Thank You” is both necessary and appreciated.
So send your thanks! Congratulate ‘em! Wish a happy birthday! And when needed, share your condolences. Attach to a gift or drop in the mail. Regardless the occasion, a handwritten note won’t soon be forgotten.
After all, sometimes “Thank You” deserves more than a text message, and like his mama would say, “It’s just plain good manners, dawlin’!”
